Giuliana Merello, drummer and songwriter, is based in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, she has established herself as a prominent figure in the music industry.  She is best known for her work with her own project, Top Queens, a band of ten women from different parts of the world. Initially starting as a tribute to Tower Of Power, the band now produces original funk and soul music.

In 2019, Giulliana joined the internationally acclaimed band “Concha Buika” as a drummer, performing at prestigious venues and festivals around the world. Her talents have taken her to places like the SFJazz Center in San Francisco, Le Maison du Peuple Belfort in France, Veracruz Cumbre Tajín festival, and Grand Théâtre de Genève in Switzerland. 

Starting in 2020, Giulliana began working as the drummer for Karol G, embarking on four tours and participating in over 250 shows across the US, Canada, Central, and South America.  Giulliana’s accomplishments continued to grow, with her being featured on the cover of the renowned Modern Drummer magazine in 2022. This recognition led her to be invited to NBC studios in NYC as a guest drummer for the 8G band on the “Late Night with Seth Meyers” program.

Furthermore, she was nominated for the Drumeo “Drummer of the Year – 2022” in the “R&B/Soul/Hip Hop” category, ultimately winning the award in early 2023.

In addition to Low Boy, Giulliana is proudly endorsed by various brands, including Sonor Drums, Earthworks Mics, Vic Firth, Zildjian, Gewa Electronic Drums, and 64 Audio. She has given masterclasses and recorded videos for these brands, showcasing her expertise on platforms like YouTube.
